Clairvoyance is a topic on most of the people's mind. The word clairvoyance is derived from two French terms meaning "clear vision". This meaning was derived in the 17th century. Clairvoyance is considered as a special gift. a) Random images flashing before your eyes suddenly.
b) Decent colors surrounding a person or living things.

Types of clairvoyance:
There are three types in this:
Precognition is the ability to predict or visualize events that have not yet come.
Retrorecognition is the ability to see events and people related to past.
Remote Viewing is the ability to see events and people who are beyond the range of the standard eye.
The people having clairvoyance experience a variety of visions even in dreams. These visions are so accurate that maybe one may dream of his or her loved once getting into a car crash accident and then later finds it comes true. Or one may get a vision of some historical event and later finds that this similar event has already happened.
What history tells us about clairvoyance?
In history, there have been numerous times when people claimed others or themselves to be clairvoyant. In history Christian saints claimed themselves to be able to visualize things which were occurring far from their sensorial perception. They claimed this to be a gift of God. Not only Christian saints but also Jesus Christ, Iona of Anne, Catherine Catherine Emmerich and much more recorded as being able to know things that were far from human perception.
Similar cases came out from different religions as well. The ability of clairvoyance was considered as a higher power and not thought as an ability that lay in every person.
What does Jainism says about clairvoyance?
In Jainism, clairvoyance is considered as one of the five kinds of knowledge. In Jainism the beings of heaven and hell have the ability of clairvoyance in them. According to Sarvarthasiddhi, "this kind of knowledge is called 'Avadhi' as it ascertains matter in downward range".
What position does bible takes on clairvoyance?
Bible takes a negative position on this. The Bible expresses complete disapproval to clairvoyance and anything related to magical powers, practices or phenomena. Bible says that the Almighty has created the creatures with limitations for a reason. He created us so that we can be dependent on him. The moment people try to gain knowledge beyond their sixth sense then god is the only one who can answer everything. These powers like clairvoyance or magical powers or vision have no role in conveying the revelation of God. The god is the creator and no one is beyond it. Bible shows no support to clairvoyance.
Is clairvoyance a gift?
People having the clairvoyance power are different from other people not physically or mentally but it's just the vision which makes them a bit unique than others. There are few hits which a clairvoyant person has:
One learns better by seeing things or information visually. The person may grant any information written on a paper, chart or a book instead of listening.
One might visualize things or in other words, day dream things in mind that they can actually feel that happening.
One is visibly a sharp observer. If anyone moves his or her book a half inch from its place the person is gonna notice.
All this may sound creepy and might be a clairvoyant person had been suggested not to daydream and think real but this is a gift which one must cherish.
